Wellness Diet
According to Ayurveda, the sense of taste is a natural guide map towards proper nutrition. Ayurveda identifies 6 tastes (Shadrasas) by which all food can be categorized: Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, Pungent and Astringent.
Our Wellness cuisine has an international selection of foods in harmony with the different body types (Vata, Pitta and Kapha). Sweet, Sour & Salty food balances Vata; Sweet, Bitter & Astringent food balances Pitta and Pungent, Bitter & Astringent food balances Kapha. Food is the primary preventive tool in Ayurveda and the first step in bringing the mind and body back into equilibrium. Our chefs appreciate that delicate balance, and, in consultation with the doctors, juggle ingredients, flavors, seasons and palates to bring out personalized and inspiring works of culinary art.
Some of the dishes are Broiled Tuna with Almond Dill Sauce (for Vata); Three bean cake with Cumin & Onion Pulao (for Pitta); and Fresh Corn and Ginger Soup (for Kapha). The herbs used are mostly from our pesticide free gardens.
